Benno Ohnesorg murdered by West German police officer Karl-Heinz Kurras
  • Protests against Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in West Berlin are violently suppressed by the United States Occupation police and SAVAK. 26 year old Benno Ohnesorg is shot in the head and killed by police, sparking increased left-wing action throughout the country.
