Xi Jinping (习近平 in chinese) (Born June 1, 1953, Central Shaanxi Province) is the general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and chairman of the Central Military Commission. On March 14, 2013, the 12th National People's Congress elected him President of the People's Republic of China in succession to Hu Jintao (胡锦涛 in chinese).
