Hey, there, I'm an Ashkenazi Jewish Marxist-Leninist from Western Europe. I've been a student of Marxist theory since around 2013, when I was a teenager, and I was involved in a spiritual precursor to ProleWiki called "Prolepedia" in 2015. Unfortunately, Prolepedia did not last very long, due mainly to clashing ideological lines; as a result, I firmly believe that the only way this type of project can survive is by taking a firm stance against so-called "maoists", "anti-revisionists", trotskyites and other ultras and anti-communist "tendencies". As someone who has been active in Marxist-Leninist spaces for almost a decade now, I have seen enough to take such a firm stance myself; in my view, being anti-China betrays a fundamentally lacking grasp of dialectics.
I have been on-and-off affiliated with communist organizations in my country, but due to my serious disagreement with many of their ideological lines I am no longer a member of any of them. I believe that the European and Euro-settler countries will have to take a back seat in the global struggle against imperialism regardless, so there is little for any of them to meaningfully accomplish right now, and as a result I think my efforts are really better spent helping educate younger Marxists from all over the globe, instead of pretending to be a movement of note in Europe.
As far as communist history goes, I'm mainly knowledgeable on Cuba, but in recent years I've also been studying the history of China, in light of its increasingly global role as a socialist superpower. |
