BreadTube is a disparate group of "left-wing" content creators who arose in popularity in response to anti-SJW/alt-right content on YouTube, which was predominant in the 2010s. "Left-wing" in this context refers to whatever mind-numbing stupidity passes for leftist political discourse in the First World. People like Vaush are widely considered to be BreadTubers. Many competent observers distinguish between "BreadTube" and "BeardTube", arguing that BreadTube is at its core a liberal movement that serves the purpose of deradicalising people on both the far-left and the far-right.
