The United States House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (also officially known as the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party[1] ) is a committee of the United States House of Representatives established in the 118th Congress (January 10, 2023). The goal of the committee is to provide a basis for enacting policies that are anti-communist and hostile to the People's Republic of China and the Communist Party of China, as well as to search for the best possible policies to do so.
The committee erroneously refers to the Communist Party of China as "the Chinese Communist Party".
The committee is part of efforts to "win" the new Cold War, a view expressed by its founder Kevin McCarthy.[2]
