The Palestinian genocide, also known as the Nakba and wrongly called the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by the West, is the ongoing systematic genocide and oppression of the Palestinians by the State of Israel. It is defined by the settler colonial project of the Israeli state known as Zionism and has pushed for the cultural destruction of the Palestinian people.[1][2][3][4] The genocide has led to the rise of Palestinian resistance groups such as Hamas and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).[5] Resistance to the genocide has led to Israel enacting a siege on the Gaza Strip with the goal of eliminating the Palestinian resistance from Hamas.[6]

Actions taken

Apartheid

The Israeli state uses apartheid-like segregation in order to systematically oppress the Palestinians, treating them like lesser beings and stripping them of many human rights.[7]

Ethnostatism

A large part of of the Palestinian genocide is the existence of Israel as a Jewish ethnostate. Due to this ethnostatism, the Palestinians living in land occupied by Israel are often treated as second-class citizens in their very own homes.[7]
