Patriotic socialism (abbreviated as PatSocism) is a political current is Marxism–Leninism that puts a large emphasis on patriotism. Existing largely within the imperial core, patriotic socialism is often considered as has the effect of having several reactionary tendencies. It tends to be controversial and is sometimes considered to be right deviationist.[1] Some socialists go as far as to call patriotic socialism an 'opportunist disorder'.[2] Alternatively, people have defended patriotic socialism by saying that patriotism can be a powerful tool for socialist organizing.[3]
