China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a country in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of around 1.4 billion in 2019. It is led by the Communist Party of China (CPC). The Chinese constitution states that the PRC "is a socialist state under the people's democratic dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants," and that the state organs "apply the principle of democratic centralism."

The People's Republic of China is one of only five Marxist-Leninist states in the world today (alongside Vietnam, Laos, People's Korea and Cuba). Over the last few years it has emerged as the world's leading economic power, and as a result has been subjected to near-constant demonization from Western media and propaganda outlets.

Welcome!
ProleWiki is a collaborative project aiming to build an international Marxist-Leninist encyclopedia, as well as hosting a library of texts important to Marxism-Leninism.

ProleWiki was founded in September of 2020 by users of Lemmygrad, a communist content aggregator.

We are proud to announce our brand new Essays space! Read our release here. The new custom-built essays frontend looks closer to a blog and whereas the legacy essays space ordered essays by author, this new interface orders them by publication date with a sidebar of available items. It also provides an excerpt of the essay, ultimately all improving discovery.

ProleWiki now has its own merch shop! Several people indicated they wanted ProleWiki stickers and other merch, and we obliged. We also teamed up with artist Tamaryn who graciously offered some of her own designs, go check them out! All proceeds go towards funding ProleWiki.

We now have an onboarding page for new editors! This will help our new editors get up to speed on how ProleWiki works and what they can do once their account is approved. We have also clarified the basis of the Comrade role, which allows editors to create new pages and upload pictures -- it will all soon be renamed to Trusted Editor on both the wiki and discord server.
