Be it from experiencing a what comrade may feel as a hostile and unwelcoming community, being overly worked in wage-slavery to the point where little extra time remains for participation on Prolewiki, or a simple loss of interest in this project, retirement is of course something which comrades are free to decide at anytime, regardless of if they may be missed.

Retirement is recommend over simply ''disappearing'' randomly one day from Prolewiki, particularly if the comrade is in an important role in our community, as that could potentially result in disruptions. Retirement is itself an ''announcement'' to others that the comrade is no longer active, nor likely interested in, Prolewiki, which could be very useful to comrades.

Due to a number of possible reasons, perhaps the most simple being a general development in a comrade's life and/or way in which they contribute to the class struggle, it may be the case that a comrade simply retires from Prolewiki entirely.

What is retirement?

To retire means to permanently leave Prolewiki. Separate from a simple break from Prolewiki, which is considered to be temporary, or a ban, which is not voluntary, a retirement is the voluntary conclusion of a comrade's work on Prolewiki.

Retirement is recommended over simply disappearing randomly one day from Prolewiki, particularly if the comrade is in an important role in our community, as that could potentially result in disruptions. Retirement is itself an announcement to others that the comrade is no longer active, nor likely interested in, Prolewiki, which could be very useful to comrades.

How do I retire?

If a comrade seeks to retire, it is relatively simple to do so. All that is really needed is for the comrade to insert a template titled Template:Retired into their userpage, and preferably remove anything else from the userpage. This template can be inserted by typing "{{Retired}}".

THIS USER HAS RETIRED FROM EDITING PROLEWIKI.
This comrade is no longer active on Prolewiki.
