Thank you for your exhaustive additions to the Sun Yat-Sen page.
I went through it to correct some of the formatting and would like to share some tips with you regarding formatting when editing as I noticed some mistakes in the formatting. I already went and formatted the page, so you can look at the two revision differences if you prefer.
If you didn't know, we have a User Guide now that can be used as a reference guide to using the visual editor.
When first introducing an acronym (ROC in this page), it's good practice to type it out in parentheses next to it. In this case, since the Republic of China appeared before ROC, I put in the acronym in parentheses next to the full name instead, in the first instance it appears.
For headings (such as Early Life and Education), you can press Ctrl+2 on your keyboard to style a paragraph with it. I figure you're not super familiar with the visual editor (unless you're on the source editor 🫠) as we noticed you didn't use headings in a previous edit as well.
For dates (such as 11/12/1886), we prefer to type them out completely in the text body. There's no agreed upon formatting for dates yet, so you can say November 12 1886, or1886 12 November or etc, but it helps avoid confusion around US date formats of Month-Day-Year and the rest of the world that uses Day-Month-Year. For example I wasn't sure whether 1/11/1912 referred to January 11 or November 1st as I was unable to find an exact date online.
Finally, please add as many sources as you can! This can also be done a day or two after a large edit as we understand most people (me included) don't like to interrupt their flow of writing to hunt down sources, but they are important for readers to fact-check and trust the information we give them.
Otherwise it's a good-quality and lengthy edit in terms of content!
