Vaush is a Statesian YouTube and Twitch streamer. He identifies as a libertarian socialist and an anarchist. Vaush was banned from Twitch for calling white people "crackers."[1] Vaush has also been accused of being a pedophile[2][3] and claimed Marx and Lenin would have voted for Biden in the 2020 presidential election.[4]
Criticism
Anti-Semitism
While discussing the Nazis in a debate with NonCompete, Vaush said Jews disproportionately controlled banks in Weimar Germany.[5]
Racism
Vaush has called Black people "subhuman"[6] and intentionally said the N-word in a debate.[7] He is against preserving Black culture even though it was systematically repressed by the United States.[8]
Settler apologia
In a debate with the Youtuber Professor Flowers on the subject of decolonization and black nationalism, Vaush compared South African settlers who gained their "home" via apartheid to Jewish people who faced persecution by the Nazi party.[9]
Transphobia
Vaush has called the LGBT+ community "cancerous"[10] and "mentally ill."[11]
Promotion of U.S. imperialism
On the 11 December, 2020 stream Vaush made the "joke" that Iraqis have him to thank for stopping and preventing U.S. imperialism in Iraq due to his position to vote for Biden.[12]
On the 3 Febuary, 2023 Vaush advocated expanding U.S. imperialism in a tweet. Responding to a tweet criticising the number of U.S. Military bases in the Asia-Pacific, Vaush stated that "We [U.S.] need more"[13]
On the 23 February, 2023 Vaush advocated for the removal of indigenous peoples from their homeland in order to recieve English education in the U.S.[14]
Anti-communism
Vaush has diminished George Orwell's reporting of leftists, non-white and LGBT+ peoples to the Information Research Department (IRD) within the British government, as acceptible by claiming that Orwell was reporting "Stalinists".[15]
Vaush called the promotion of George Orwell's anti-communist writings by the IRD and CIA as "based".[16]
