Bēlreʾûšunu, also known by the Greek name Berossos, was a Babylonian priest of the temple of Esagila. Around 290 BCE, he wrote a three-volume Greek work on the history and culture of Babylonia. The full text no longer exists, but parts of it have survived in the works of later authors. He also founded a school on the island of Kos to teach the Greeks Babylonian math and astronomy.[1]
