BadEmpanada is an Australian-Argentine YouTuber. He makes long-form video essays about history, settler colonialism, imperialism, Latin American politics, and other topics[1] from a communist perspective. BadEmpanada also has a stream clips channel and an inactive Spanish language channel.
Since 2021, BadEmpanada has been on the receiving end of a Zionist doxxing, harassment, and defamation campaign for his opposition to the State of Israel and his pro-Palestinian online activism.[2]

Holodomor genocide question[edit | edit source]
BadEmpanada argues that the Holodomor, while certainly a major catastrophe for which the Soviet government (led by Joseph Stalin) deserves a great deal of blame, was not a genocide orchestrated with the intent to murder Ukrainians; but rather a failure of government policy. He further contends that the pro-genocide thesis in Western academia was "an attempt to affirm a process of [Ukrainian] nationalist and anti-Soviet myth-making rather than simple, honest research", highlighting how its early proponents in the 1980s were directly funded by Ukrainian nationalist groups, how the notion of "double genocide" is used to legitimise historic collaboration with the Nazis, and how the current Ukrainian government is lobbying for the Holodomor's recognition as a genocide internationally.[3]

Criticism of AES[edit | edit source]
BadEmpanada blindly criticizes successful AES experiments such as China calling it "capitalist", "imperialist" and "communist in name only."[4] While also taking a nuanced position on the Uyghur Question in Xinjiang, He calls the dormitories of Uyghur students "suspicious" and even though he highlights the BBC as a propaganda outlet for the west, he still calls BBC footage of a supposed tour around a Uyghur training centers "a real tour of these purported camps." He also calls people who call out the debunked lies of Western imperialist propaganda [5][6][7]a "new breed of grifters"[8]
Pro-Western imperialist talking points[edit | edit source]
In 2024, BadEmpanada opposed the democratically elected anti-imperialist government of Venezuela, siding with the Zionist[9] opposition instead (despite previous opposition to Zionism).[10] He also chose to support the 2024 color revolution[11] in Bangladesh.[12] His video criticizing The Grayzone has earned the approval of notorious anti-communist and Bellingcat-founder Eliot Higgins.[13]
Transphobia[edit | edit source]
In August of 2025, he made transphobic insults against a tweet based on their identity and vulnerability instead of their opinions, saying he was "open" to the idea that being trans is "mostly a way to claim a marginalized identity to hide behind" of which he deleted shortly after.[14]
