Darío Fermín is currently an officer of the National Electoral Council (CNE) in Punta de Mata in Monagas, Venezuela.[citation needed]

Controversies

In April 2022, Darío Fermín alongside with Carlos Fermín formed the movement Proyecto Reconstrucción Nacional (PRN), a right-wing party created with an eye to transform itself into the "only party of the right".

He is also involved in the political persecution[1] against the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) promoted by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), as one of the signatories of the letter calling for the PSUV to intervene in the PCV, in which he pretended to be a grassroot member of the communist party.[2]
