Elise Marie Stefanik (born 2 July 1984 in Albany, New York) is a Statesian politician (GOP) currently serving as the member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New York's 21st congressional district, having been first elected in 2014. She was only 30 years old when she assumed this office, making her the youngest woman to-date to be elected to the House in the country's history. She concurrently held the position of House Republican Conference Chair from 2021 to 2025; and was nominated by President Trump to serve as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations[1] likely due to her staunch pro-genocide stance, though this nomination was later withdrawn.
