Humbannumena III (died 688 BCE) was king of Elam from 692 to 688 BCE. He allied with the Persians and other Zagros Mountain tribes to support a Babylonian rebellion against Assyria that started in 692 BCE. Elamite forces defeated Assyria at the Battle of Ḫalulê, but their losses were so severe that they did not advance into Assyria.[1]
