Larsa was an ancient Sumerian city-state.
History[edit | edit source]
At the start of the 18th century BCE, Larsa was ruled by a dynasty of Elamite origin. In 1785 BCE, King Rimenzu allied with ʿAmmurāpi, the Amorite ruler of Bābilim (Babylon), to help him conquer Isin and Unug. In 1762 BCE, ʿAmmurāpi turned against Larsa and seized control of it.[1]
