Lazaros Kyritsis (1920 – 2022) was a Greek communist resistance fighter. He was born in Haravgi in 1920 and studied law at the University of Athens and left college during the Second World War to join the Greek People's Liberation Army. In 1946, he was arrested and exiled to the island of Makronissos. He was released in 1950 and joined the KKE.[1] After the CIA-backed[2] military coup in 1967, he was imprisoned for another six years until the junta fell in 1974.[1]
