Nabûkudurrīuṣur I (died c. 1100 BCE) was a ruler of the Fourth Dynasty of Babylon. He restored the independence of Babylonia from the Elamites and defeated the Elamite army at the fortress of Der. He then invaded Elam and weakened it so much that it was not mentioned in writing for another 300 years. He moved the capital of Babylonia from Isin back to Babylon and declared himself the "king of the four quarters of the world" after reunifying Babylonia.[1]
