Every year, on either New Year's Eve or New Years Day, the president of the People's Republic of China makes an address to China and to the world.
These have happened since January 2000.

- Coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region
- The development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt
- The construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
- Launched the Chang’e-4 lunar probe
- Second aircraft carrier set sail on its maiden voyage
- Domestically-made large amphibious aircraft performed its first water launch
- BeiDou Satellite Navigation System launched
- Reduced the price of 17 cancer-fighting drugs[1]

- Fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and finishing the year with the strongest GDP growth in the world
- Completing the 13th Five Year Plan and formulating the 14th Five Year Plan
- Tianwen-1 (Mars mission)
- Chang'e 5 (Lunar probe)
- Fendouzhe (deep-sea manned submersible)
- Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port
- Minimizing damage of severe flooding
- Establishing a Moderately Prosperous Society in all respects
- Decisive success in eradicating extreme poverty[3]
