Paul Barthélemy Biya (born 13 February 1933) is a Cameroonian politician who has served as the second president of Cameroon since 1982. He previously served as the fifth prime minister of Cameroon under President Ahmadou Ahidjo from 1975 to 1982 and has served as president of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (RDPC) since 1983. Biya is the oldest person to "win" an election and is currently the oldest current head of state in the world as well as the second longest ruling president in Africa, having ruled Cameroon for over four decades.
Biya is a western backed dictator and serves as a willing comprador for Statesian, French and Israeli interests. His regime has been marked by rigged elections and human rights abuses whilst giving up Cameroon's vast natural resources to the west for cheap prices, and allowing the presence of western troops for drone bases and torturing dissidents. Biya is very unpopular in Cameroon with even his daughter denouncing him for the suffering he has inflicted, but western funding and military training continues to persist unhindered.[1]
