The People's Guerrilla Army is the armed wing of the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path. It is currently involved in the ongoing People's war in Peru. The goal of the army, and the party as a whole, in this conflict is to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat, and ultimately to achieve communism.
