Simbaršipak (died c. 1004 BCE) was the founder of the Fifth Dynasty of Babylon. He ruled in the far south of Babylon (Sealand) and took power after northern Babylon fell to Aramaean invaders. He sought to unite Babylonia under his rule but was killed before he could do so, and the rest of his dynasty only ruled for a total of three years.[1]
