Suppiluliuma I (died c. 1322 BCE) was a Hittite king. He conquered the Hurrian kingdom of Mitanni and then allied with the Habiru tribes to conquer Syria and Palestine from Egypt. After defeating the Egyptians, he sent his son to marry the Pharaoh Tutankhamen's widow, but he was murdered on the way. In response, he restarted the war against Egypt.[1]
