Telipinu (died c. 1500 BCE) was a Hittite king. In response to infighting within the royal family, he created a law on succession. After a king died, the king's oldest son from his first wife would become king; if he had no children from his first wife, the oldest son from the second wife would become king; and if he had no living sons, the husband of the king's daughter from his first wife would become king.[1]
