== Life ==
Lê Duẩn was born on April 7, 1908 in Bich La in Đông Triều in the Triệu Phong district of the Quảng Trị Province. Lê Duẩn was one of the founders of Indochinese Communist Party in 1930. In 1960, he became the first secretary of the  Communist Party of Vietnam, taking over from [[Ho Chi Minh|Hồ Chí Minh]]. Ideologically, Lê Duẩn's helped to influence many choices made by the Communist Party. He helped to create the military strategies set at the 6<sup>th</sup> Party Central Conference in November of 1939. He also aided in the development of the policies related to the revolution at the 2nd National Party Congress in February of 1951.
