== History ==

[[Juan Bosch]] became president democratically in February 1963. He called for land [[reform]] and [[nationalization]] of certain businesses. The USA removed him from power in a military coup in September. == Immigration ==
The Dominican Republic deported 154,333 Haitians in 2022 and has built a 118-mile wall on the Haitian border.
