Aleka Papariga is a former Greek politician, who served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece from 1991 to 2013.
KKE under Papariga[edit | edit source]
KKE under Papariga rejected their old revisionist line they had adopted since Stalin's death in 1953, only to adopt a version of dogmatism called by some as Paparigaism or KKE Model.[1]
Post-Secretariat[edit | edit source]
In 2013, Papariga got succeeded by Dimitris Koutsoumpas as General Secretary of the KKE. Nonetheless, she was an MP until the May 2023 elections.
She supported Ukraine in its conflict with Russia during a speech at a regional conference in Corfu on 22 March 2022.[2]
