Hello.

1. Where did you find ProleWiki from? How familiar are you with it? Comment what made you want to join ProleWiki and what areas you are interested in contributing to.
I am Comrade Edward, I find old books and polish them up for the digital age.
I found it from Lemmygrad. I want to work on the library, I have my own project making epubs, so it fits quite nicely. A few days ago I messaged CriticalResist, about uploading the text from the epubs I made—There is no reason for PW to waste time doing what I already did—Critical suggested I ask to become a library editor.

2. What current of Marxist thought do you uphold? Describe as thoroughly as needed your path towards your current political perspective.
Liberalism with Marxist-Leninist characteristics. The early days of my path aren’t clear to me. I believe it started, at least partially, from recommendation of Hakim on youtube. At some point I found Lemmygrad, which I joined and have then been lurking and learning, with some book reading too.

3. Have you read our principles? Comment your agreements or objections to their points.
I don’t have any objections.

4. What is your understanding of gender? Should Marxists support the LGBT community?
Somthing about it being different from sex. Social construct… My brain is having a little moment. Marxists should support the LGBT community.

5. What is your position on Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong? How would you describe their historical role? Share any comments or critiques you have regarding them.
I have very limited knowledge on them. They undoutably made great contributions to the world, Marxism and the revolutions in their countries. As humans, they made mistakes too.

6. What are your thoughts on China, Vietnam, Cuba, DPRK and Laos? Do you believe any of these countries is socialist? Why or why not?
From what I have seen on Lemmygrad, I have reasons to belive China is socialist.
Otherwise, no investigation. Cannot answer.

7. What is settler-colonialism, are there any countries that still fit that description and what should be done regarding them? Further, what is to be done about the decolonization and liberation of indigenous peoples, ethnic minorities, and immigrant groups in your country?
Settler-colonialism is killing and expelling people from their land to take it. Making those that survive and stay in the colony into second-rate citizens. USA is of course the first country to come to mind, and with the latest happening in Palestine, Isntreal is also an easy answer. I realised while thinking about this question that Canada probably also fits, and what about Mexico, what about the rest of the Americas—I have not enough knowledge on this area.
Isntreal should cease to exist, Palestinian land given back to Palestine, the Jews and Arabs (et. al.) becoming equal citizens of this new Palestine. Some of the Settlers will probably go back to where they came from.
The USA... I realised that the indigenous population has probably already written on this, and I should read more on what should happen with the US.
8. What is your analysis of the situation in Palestine? What do you think of the 2023 October 7 events and the groups involved from both sides of the conflict?
A settler-colonial apartheid state doing a genocide in their open-air prison. Support for the palistinian resistance groups. Death to the civilian murders—An army with protocol to murder civillians, WTF. I guess that’s what happens when your brain is on genocidal ideology like Zionism.
(If you like reading about humanitarian crises, reliefweb is not nice.)

[Cannot answer]
8. Have you read works from Marxists, pertaining but not limited to those from historical or existing socialist states? Please note some that stood out to you and what contributions to Marxist thought that they added and why you liked them.
This Soviet World. I like it because its a look into the Soviet Union, into ML in practice. To see what is possible.

---
Optional:
2. Do you have familiarity or skill with any programming languages or MediaWiki?
Yes, python and c#. To some extent rust. And while they aren’t programming languages, html and css.
