2. I am a Marxist Leninist. I have understood the nessesity of communism for as long as I've been politically aware. as I'm sure is the case with many of us I sort of arrived at many positions on my own prior to learning about marxism leninism properly. As with many I also started out as a radical anti-calipitalist democratic socialist, while I understood the nessesity of the abolition of capitalism I was still affected by an upringing in Cold War anticommunist propaganda and it took me a while (and a lot of research) to weed out propagandized thought and come to an understanding of the historical and material nessesity of certain negative aspects of the socialist experiments of the past. As I was learning more about the history of historical socialist movements I got to properly learn about the spesifics of Marx, Engels, and Lenin's writings and I am firmly confident in my current position.
3. I have. Everything that is written is agreeable, Although I sincerely hope these Principles are adhered to. As a potential contributor of my own I wish to make this a well established alternative to the heavily propgandized alternatives like Wikipedia, while remaining honest and well sourced.
4. I am thoroughly agnostic on the issue of China. I have to be honest and admit I have not gotten too heavily into researching the topic and I value their contributions to the socialist movement in the past and present. In regards to them being socialist or not, I have to say no. That is in the same vain the USSR or other eastern-block countries were not communist, rather they were in the socialist transitionary period. China currently allows and upholds the capitalist mode of production to a significant extent, I do not believe this is controversial to say. They are however lead by a Communist Party, and they claim to uphold communism as the ultimate goal of their project. Are they going to move on from the capitalist mode and continue down the road to communism? I can not say, I am neither chinese nor part of the CPC. I certainly hope so, and they claim to aim for this goal themselves so I suppose only time will tell.
5. Stalin was a vitally important figure for the establishment of Socialism in the USSR, and equally important on the world stage, being a key figure in the creation of many socialist projects both east and west of his motherland. Under his leadership the USSR developed into a world superpower at a speed never before seen in history, and it would probably not have happened without his leadership. That being said he was certainly a problematic figure. But as mentioned above a lot of what is commonly seen (outside of socialist circles) as atrocities or crimes are either fabrication or purpousefully blown out of proportion for purposes of propganda, and those that happened were almost definitely entirely nessecary to build up the USSR at the speed it did, and without these actions the USSR would probably not have survived for long. I believe Stalin was a genuinely convinced Marxist-Leninist at heart, and I believe he did what he thought was nessecary to keep the revolution alive. However, he made a lot of mistakes, as any person. I believe recognizing his faliures and sucsesses in their required contexts are important to build and understanding of our common socialist history.
6. Gender, as opposed to sex, is the socially constructed image of sex based identity and typical social and physical characteristics of the two primary biological sexes. Gender however is not directly tied to sex, a person of one sex might either want to or feel more comfortable presenting as the gender identity not usually ascribed to their biological sex, and indeed the characteristics we now commonly associate with one sex or another is for the most part entirely a result of socialization and in no way connected to immutable characteristics like genetics. I believe our common end goal is gender abolition. The LGBT struggle is a common Marxist struggle and opposition to it is reactionary.
