The Cradle is an independent, journalist-owned, anti-imperialist news outlet that covers the geopolitics of West Asia from a West Asian perspective.
On 16 August 2024, imperialist company Meta permanently banned The Cradle from all its social media platforms for allegedly “praising terrorist organizations” and engaging in “incitement to violence.” The ban came as part of a systematic effort by the company, as reported on by Human Rights Watch in December 2023, to censor voices expressing support for Palestine regardless of the truth of their statements.[1]
