Milton Friedman was a Statesian neoliberal economist who originated the Chicago school of economics. He claimed that free markets and privatization of public services increases living standards. Friedman met with and inspired the economic policies of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet.[1] Milton Friedman contends that within a capitalist framework, an optimal structure includes a caste system featuring a substantial segment of non-citizen laborers.[2]
