The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) is a labor union in the United States that represents 160,000 workers. It represents the actors of Hollywood, but writers, directors, camera operators, sound mixers, makeup artists, and script supervisors are each in their own separate unions.[1]

2023 strike

SAG-AFTRA went on strike on July 14, 2023. On August 22, it held a national day of action in support of its demands for better pay and residuals and protection against artificial intelligence.[2]
