Georgy (Yuri) Leonidovich Pyatakov (18 August 1890 – 30 January 1937) was a Soviet revolutionary and politician. In 1917, he and Bukharin took a chauvinist stance on the national question and rejected self-determination.[1] He was executed in 1937 for involvement in counterrevolutionary sabotage.[2]

Early Life

Georgy Pyatakov was born 18 August 1890, in Horodyshche in the Russian Empire. He joined the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party in 1910.

Death

Pyatakov was put on trial in 1937 as part of the Moscow trials, he was found guilty and sentenced to death.
