On Tuesday, March 8th, Minneapolis teachers are on strike after failing to reach a contract with management.[1] Labor leaders say teachers and support staff are experiencing burnout due to the COVID-19 pandemic, budget shortfalls, etc.[2]
The Twin Cities chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America are helping to support union activists.[3]

I've already seen major news outlets frame it as kids having classes "canceled." Don't do this. That's not the story. The story is how we've defunded and devalued education for generations."
