I was a social democrat/democratic socialism for most of my life until I started reading the works of Marx, which made me an anti-capitalist, and I quickly picked up the works of Lenin and Luxemburg afterwards which made a revolutionary. From there I read the works of Parenti, Stalin, Mao, J. Arch Getty and others, and slowly with time began to wake up to the realities of AES countries and the many lies told about them. 3. Yes I have, and I agree with them all. 4. Gender is a social construct and all Marxists must support LGBT rights. 5. They both made mistakes but are ultimately great revolutionaries, as they led both the USSR and China respectively to becoming socialist superpowers and lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, among many other things. Stalin in particular is significant for essentially being the founder of Marxism-Leninism. 6. Yes, I believe they are socialist. They may have opened their markets to foreign investment but this is ultimately done to help increase the productive forces needed to establish a socialist state, so they are socialist and ML countries.
SECONDARY QUESTIONS
1. Dialectical materialism is the understanding of all things from a materialist perspective, and that all aspects of human culture and society are a productive of a society's given material conditions. 2. I'd like to contribute mostly to articles covering history, such as with certain countries and leaders whose pages I feel warrant more attention. 5. I support both movements wholeheartedly. 6. I've read a little bit of Marxist feminism - mostly Angela Davis - and I agree with everything she says. 10. Israel is an apartheid settler state and Palestine must be freed.
