Ramessu III (1217 BCE – 15 April 1155 BCE) was second pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of Egypt, ruling for 30 years. He fought in Kush, Palestine, and Syria and gave over 100,000 prisoners of war, 500,000 cattle, and 200,000 hectares of farmland to the temples.[1]
