Siberia (Russian: Сибирь), or North Asia, is a region of Asia. Siberia is commonly defined as extending from the Ural Mountains in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east. It extends southward from the Arctic Ocean to the hills of north-central Kazakhstan and the borders of Mongolia and China. All but the southwestern area of Siberia is located in Russia.[1][2]
