The Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic was one of thirteen union republics of the Soviet Union, established in 1940 following requests by the Communist Party of Estonia to be incorporated. Eventually, alongside various other color revolutions propped up by imperialist powers within the Soviet Union under Gorbachev, the ESSR would effectively collapse on 8 May 1990, and a new bourgeois republic would be propped up in it's place.
