The Organization for the Liberation of the Levant, also known by its Arabic name Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is a jihadist group in Syria that formed out of al-Qaeda formations in 2017. It is supported by Turkey and Israel. In 2024, it overthrew the Syrian government led by Bashar al-Assad.[1]
