== History ==
[[Kingdom of France (1830–1848)|France]] began colonizing Gabon in 1839 after tricking [[Antchoué Komé Rapontcombo]] into signing away his land. Gabon became independent in 1960 under [[Neocolonialism|neocolonial]] leader [[Leon Mba]].
