Holocaust deniers argue that 1) that the deaths of Jews and other victims was unintentional; 2) that Nazi Germany only intended to deport or enslave the Jewish population of Europe rather than exterminate them; 3) that Nazi massacres were actually carried out by the Soviet [[Workers' and Peasants' Red Army|Red Army]] or [[People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs|NKVD]]; 4) that the death toll of the Jewish Holocaust is much lower than the agreed-upon estimate of 6 million; or 5) that the Holocaust was an outright fabrication invented by the [[Allies of World War II|Allied Powers]] of [[Second World War|World War II]] (and in particular the [[Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1922–1991)|Soviet Union]]), who were led by a Jewish [[Conspiracy theory|conspiracy]].
