New Course[edit | edit source]

The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party adopted the New Course in 1932 to allow peasants forced into collective farms to leave if they wanted as a response to ultra-leftist errors in the previous years. As Prime Minister, Genden distorted this decision and dissolved voluntary peasant cooperatives.[1]:337

Purge[edit | edit source]

Genden's anti-party group tried to undermine the alliance between Mongolia and the Soviet Union and slandered innocent people in the Lkhümbe affair. A plenary meeting of the Central Committee in 1936 exposed Genden's opportunist activities.[1]:347–8
