A dictatorship of the bourgeoisie is any state which overall acts in the interests of the bourgeoisie and is wielded by them as they are in control of the state apparatus. It is opposed by its socialist counter-part, the dictatorship of the proletariat. It is characterized by fascism in its right-wing reactionary wing and by social democracy as its moderate wing.[1]
