Thomas Clement Douglas (20 October 1904 – 24 February 1986) was a Scottish-born Canadian politician who served as the first leader of the social-democratic New Democratic Party from 1961 to 1971. Previously he was Premier of the province of Saskatchewan from 1944 to 1961.
