Shinzo Abe was a Japanese ultranationalist, war crimes and genocide denier, and the Prime Minister of Japan from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020. He was the leader of the right-wing Liberal Democratic Party. He was assassinated on 2022 July 8.[1]
Political positions
Abe was a member of the ultranationalist organization Nippon Kaigi, which aims to remove Article 9 of Japan's constitution, which prevents Japan from going to war with other nations. Abe denies the war crimes of the the Empire of Japan and called for introducing U.S. nuclear weapons to Japan for use against China and the DPRK.[1]
