Pseudo-intellectuals nonetheless will often try to maintain the image of a true scholar, often by using their personal charisma, and/or exploitating their followers' ignorance on the given topic. Pseudo-intellectialism usually uses or results in conspiracy theories, pseudo-science, and misinformation in general.
