Marion Anne Perrine "Marine" Le Pen (born 5 August 1968) is a far-right French politician and leader of the National Rally party.[1] She is the daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, a Holocaust denier who tortured Algerian freedom fighters, and she promotes the fascist Great Replacement conspiracy theory.[2]
Political career
In the 2017 election, Le Pen received 21% of the vote in the first round and lost to Emmanuel Macron in the second round where.[1]
In 2022, she received 23.15% of the vote in the first round and 41.5% in the second round, losing to Macron again.[2]
