Ulrike Meinhof was a West German Marxist-Leninist journalist and guerilla leader. She was a founding and leading member of the Red Army Faction and participated in many of its actions. She was arrested in Hannover, Germany in 1972 and was murdered in prison on 9 May 1976.[1]
