State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) is an official list of countries maintained by the U.S. State Department. People who visit countries on the list cannot go to the United States, and member countries also face severe sanctions.[1]
Current members
Cuba
Obama removed Cuba from the SSOT in 2015. In 2021, Trump returned Cuba to the list.[1] In November 2023, the UN General Assembly voted 185 to 2 against U.S. sanctions on Cuba, with one abstention.[2]
